2nd III/LIS Comparative Economic Inequality Conference 2025Luxembourg, 27–28 February 2025

International conference jointly organized by the Luxembourg Income Study (LIS) and the UK LIS Satellite Office at the International Inequalities Institute (III) of the London School of Economics. The event brought together researchers from around the world to present and discuss comparative research on economic inequality. Key topics included earnings and gender inequality, intergenerational mobility and wealth distribution, the role of public policies in addressing inequality and poverty, and methodological innovations in inequality measurement. A total of 79 research papers were presented across parallel sessions, complemented by keynote lectures from leading scholars Nora Lustig and Fabian Pfeffer, and a special book event featuring Branko Milanović’s Visions of Inequality: From the French Revolution to the End of the Cold War.
